All user data is stored exclusively on your device using chrome.storage.local. This includes settings, templates, and preferences. This data never leaves your device.

4. AI Features

MarkDownload offers optional AI-powered Markdown refinement. When used:

• You provide your own API key for an OpenAI-compatible service
• Content is sent directly from your browser to the API endpoint you configure
• We never see, store, or transmit your content or API keys

5. Extension Permissions

• activeTab — Access the current tab to capture and convert content
• storage — Save preferences and settings locally
• downloads — Save files to your downloads folder
• contextMenus — Add right-click menu items
• scripting — Inject content scripts for element selection

6. Third-Party Services

Our contact form uses Web3Forms. These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.

7. Website

This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. We do not collect data from visitors.

8. Your Rights

Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or export. All your data stays on your device under your full control.
